Indiana Trip

At the end of June we took the kids to Indiana. We had a nice visit with family and friends. The kiddos absolutely thought that Uncle Steve was the best. Because he had cool toys. Steve took the four-wheelers out and he and Rick rode around with the kids in his backyard (yes, they have backyards that big). I think there may have been a little sibling competiton going on between Emily and Ty and Rick and Steve.

Back at Grandma's the kids tried to climb a tree, ran through the sprinkler and rode the another four-wheeler. They slept like babies every night.

A Day with Nonny and Papa

My dad has been promising Emily a trip to the Mother Cabrini Shrine. We climbed all the way to the top (I climbed half way up with Ty on my shoulders...UGH). When we reached the top, Emily said and I quote "We came all the way up here for this?!?!" She was so disappointed. So since that was not enough excitement for her, my mom and dad took us to Heritage Square. She had fun, but we weren't there long enough for her as she explained on the drive home. Sometimes, you cannot win with this kid.

Emily and Jordan had so much fun riding the cars. Ty was plenty mad because he wasn't big enough nor old enough to ride along with the other kids.

By the time we got home, Emily was over her devastation. She decided that she needed to say a prayer since she didn't get to say one when she went to see "God's Heart." She had tears in her eyes and as she explained they were happy tears. God, I love this child.

Backyard Blast

It is hard to keep a child down. Ty would be outside from the minute he gets up until he goes to bed. Believe me when I say that there have been some mornings when we have been outside before 7AM. Yes, you read that correctly.

Emily on the other hand, would be a total couch potato if you let her. Needless to say, she has not turned into a spud. She does love being outside just not as much as her little bro.

We have spent copious amounts of time playing in the water. So much so, that sometimes I think my babies are just going float down our street.

Play Time

Anybody who has kids, know that you HAVE to visit Chuck E Cheeses. This is probably one of the best places that my kids love to visit. It is funny watching them dash from one game to the next and watch them ride the rides. Ty is getting too big to ride the rides with his big sissy. That's OK, because she thinks they are for babies anyway. She caved and did ride one with him.

We could have stayed there all afternoon, but mommy ran out of tokens and wasn't about to give good ole Chuck any more.

New Addition

In the middle of June, my mom and I gave a baby shower for my sister-in-law, Mirinda. It was a good time. Baby Madison made out like a bandit.

Madison arrived on June June 30th at 1:01PM weighing in at 5lbs. 1oz. and 19 inches long. She looks just like here daddy. CONGRATULATIONS Sandoval Family.

Vegas Vacation

The first weekend in June, my mom and I and a couple of girlfriends made a trip to Vegas. It was a much needed vacation for all of us.

Anybody who knows me, knows that I don't know how to relax. So, while we were in Vegas, my mom decided it was her personal goal to teach me this technique. We spent a couple of hours by the pool for 2 days. I can honestly say, that on the first day, I was a wreck. After about an hour of fidgeting, I started to get the whole idea of relaxing. It wasn't easy, but I did it in spite of myself.

This was the first vacation for my mom in a long while. She had a great time. We did some sight-seeing, shopping and a little drinking. Fun was her new best friend. Mom, I'm glad you were there.

Fun in the Sun

My kids love to play in the water. So one afternoon while we were hanging out with Nonny, Papa and Acka, they got to play with the hose. Oh the giggles they had.
Emily thought it was great to run around in the backyard with just there underwear on. That was the coolest part.
